Voting is open to help secure a St Albans charity with up to £25,000.
Willow, a charity who helps young adults with serious illness, could receive a boost from Hertfordshire Freemasons' community awards tercentenary fund of £3 million.
There are eight causes in the running and all will receive a grant, but the vote will decide the amount between £4,000 and £25,000.
Willow chief executive Jonathan Aves said: “Willow is totally reliant on the generosity of Foundations like MCF to fund its work, as well as local organisations and individuals who selflessly support Willow.
"Without this support, we simply could not help those young adults whose lives have been shattered by serious illness to find hope and happiness when all seems lost."
