Light cloud will be the main feature of the sky this morning, with a little sunshine poking through at around lunchtime before the dark clouds settle in for the night.

Tube and train

There is a good service on all London Underground, London Midland, East Midlands, and Thameslink and Network Rail lines operating in southwest Herts and north London.

Traffic

There are minor delays on the M25 anticlockwise around Potters Bar heading towards junction 23 for the A1081, and further round between junction 20 for the A4251 and junction 18 for the A404 Rickmansworth Road.

The A1 Barnet Bypass southbound has severe delays in the run up to Stirling Corner, while up in Kings Langley the A41 and A4251 are both encountering delays heading southbound towards the M1.

There is queuing on the M1 itself heading southbound on Watford Way near Leavesden and further down in Mill Hill and Brent Cross.

In Brent Cross there are severe delays on the Great North Way heading southbound and the North Circular Road from the Brent Cross flyover to where the two roads converge.

The North Circular queues stretch up to Finchley and then continue up to Friern Barnet and Southgate.
