A new store has opened today.
The Chiswell Green Co-Op opened today after an investment of £660,000 and 16 new jobs for those living in the area.
The store, located in Watford Road, will be giving 1 per cent of money from their new membership scheme to local causes, with a further £1,000 being awarded to Killigrew Primary and Nursery School and St Stephen Parish Council on launch day.
Maria Moran-Long, Co-op store manager, said: "The Co-op is committed to transforming and growing its convenience business and we are delighted to be making such a significant investment in Chigwell Green – the new store looks great and it really is an exciting time for the whole team."
The store will have be kitted out with a Costa Coffee machine, hot food and in-store bakery.
