A silver Macbook containing years' worth of work was among items stolen in a burglary.
The thief or thieves entered a house in Nunnery Stables between 1am and 9am on September 8, and stole a silver Macbook and rucksacks containing cash and ticket stubs.
DC Spencer Dicks of Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "I am appealing for anybody who might have seen suspicious activity in the area during the times stated to get in touch.
"You may have vital information that could help us trace these thieves and possibly reunite the victim with his belongings. I am keen to reunite the victim with his laptop which not only contains sentimental family photos but years of important work."
Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Dicks on 101, quoting crime reference F1/17/4325, or via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
