A group of businessmen are ensuring people will not be lonely over the festive period by offering a free Christmas dinner.
The event will run from 1pm to 5pm on Christmas Day (Monday, December 25) at Christ Church, in High Oaks, New Green, St Albans.
The dinner has been organised by a local group called Full Gospel Businessmen (FGB) who represents Christian businessmen in the local community around St Albans.
Graham Cleveland, director of the group, said: “We have been discussing this for two years and really wanted to bless people at Christmas when for some it is a difficult and lonely time.
“People will be giving up their Christmas day to make sure someone else has an enjoyable Christmas day that might otherwise would have been on their own.”
FGB will be providing people with a full Christmas dinner for each person with all the trimmings and will also pick up those who cannot make their own way there.
The cooks are George Criticus who owns Artisan Bakery in the quadrant in Marshalswick and Mario Petrou who runs Relish the Burger Restaurant in central St Albans.
