A cone was thrown at a McDonald's employee in a "nasty" assault.

Officers are investigating the attack, which took place at the fast food restaurant in Bell Lane, London Colney, at 5.40am on December 17.

One of them men jumped over the counter while a cone was thrown at a staff member's head.

Police have appealed for smartphone video footage.

PC Ash Oakshott, from the Hertsmere Intervention and Response Team, said: “This was a nasty attack on a member of staff who was just trying to do his job. We would be keen to speak to the men pictured as they may have witnessed what happened and have crucial information that could form part of our investigation.

“We believe there were a number of people in the restaurant at the time who were filming the incident on their smartphones. If you have any footage of this incident, please make contact with us as soon as possible.”
