A 19-year-old man has been released under investigation after a hoax bomb threat closed hundreds of schools.
Hertfordshire Constabulary received reports from more than 400 schools and colleges across the country last week - including six in Hertfordshire.
However, the email threats to bomb school grounds if money was not paid were confirmed to be a hoax.
A man was arrested in Watford on Wednesday on suspicion of blackmail and making malicious communications relating to the incident.
The National Crime Agency has since confirmed he has been released while enquiries continue.
