Arabic food prepared by Syrian families will be on the menu at an event at as a church marks Refugee Week 2018.
The event, entitled “Hertfordshire Arrivals and Departures,” will consider the plight of refugees in the UK as well as those who have been "forced" to leave.
It will be held at Trinity URC Church in St Albans.
With contributions from local historians Kate Morris and Ken Griffin, and from Syrian refugees who have arrived in the past couple of years, the evening will also include stories and songs from the duo Na-Mara (who are singer and guitarist Paul McNamara and mandolin player Rob Garcia).
The event, organised by Herts Welcomes Syrian Families in collaboration with St Albans Folk Music and St Albans Amnesty International, will take place on June 21 from 8pm.
Admission is free but there will be a collection to raise money to help refugee families from Syria.
