A number of new hotels could be built

Travelodge has announced it wants to open new branches in Radlett, Rickmansworth, and another in Watford.

The hotels, combined, could see 200 new jobs created, and is hoped to put £2million back into the economy.

Travelodge says it is looking at a number of sites across Hertfordshire to expand into with Hertford, Ware, Hitchin, Letchworth, Hoddesdon, Broxbourne, Potters Bar, and Stevenage all considered options.

It could build hotels in every town.

Shakila Ahmed, Travelodge Communications Director said: “The Hertfordshire economy is growing at pace and with increasing visitor numbers to the area, there is a shortage of good quality accommodation at a great value price.

"We have identified Radlett, Rickmansworth and Watford as three of the eight key Hertfordshire locations where we would like to open a Travelodge hotel."

Travelodge has two branches already in Borehamwood, two in Hemel Hempstead, and one in Watford.
