England are optimistic Paul Collingwood may be able to take a full part in the remainder of the second Test after X-rays showed no break in his left index finger.

Collingwood this morning dislocated the joint during England's fielding practice at Kingsmead.

There were initial fears over whether he might be able to take the field again in this match. But, despite strapping on the finger, the clear X-ray meant he should certainly be able to bat if England need him in their second innings.
