See you on Sunday?

I know, I know, it has been known for churchgoers to hide away in their small buildings (like religious club-houses) and make critical comments about Christians in other denominations... even in Watford.

But no, not these days (well not as much, anyway)...

Come and see for yourself on Sunday: A few hundred of us from many different churches will be singing and praying our hearts out at the Watford bandstand (next to Central Library) on Sunday morning.

A good number of churches have decided that the opportunity to express a real and growing unity in the open air (let alone glorious summer sunshine!) is too good to miss.

Christians across Watford are becoming more and more united, and I can't wait for a fresh glimpse of the glorious Church of Watford this weekend. I am not sure God is impressed with denominational badges and differences; I do happen to think he loves it when we show solidarity and humble, sincere unity.

We have a guest speaker, Steve Clifford. He is a friend to Watford and now has the role of General Director of the EA, a group representing over 1 million Christians in the UK.

What can you expect? Hymns and songs new and old, a wonderful atmosphere of faith and unity, and people from a wide range of colours, ages and backgrounds who are learning what it means to be 'one church' in and for this town.

See you Sunday? Hope so - everyone is genuinely, truly welcome.
