Black Park near Pinewood

My cousins and Jack, not put off by being drenched along the canal, were still around the next day for another adventure.

This time I suggested Back Park, just off the A412 between Iver and Slough, it backs onto Pinewood Studios and from the top of the park you can see the various stages.

It costs £2.50 for all day parking and consists of a large, clean lake - ideal for dog swimming and miles of paths through pine forests, heathlands or open grassy areas. Even in august the vastness means you don't keep bumping into people.

If you were to feel reckless, there is the assault course "Going Ape"

but we all reluctantly decided to give that a miss!. There is usually something organised, such as saturday jogging, kinds play schemes of "Film Walks", as the lake and forest has been used for many a TV series or Movie.

Last time I went, I parked the car and saw a caveman standing drinking a cup of coffee and eating a sandwich, what made it even more surreal is that he had glasses on!.
