Over the last couple of weeks I have had such fun at all the events I have been attending.

Last Friday, I went to see young people from the Meriden and Woodside take to the catwalk at the Harlequin to show off their own fashion designs, music, video and street dance routines they have been creating over the past five months. In partnership with the Trust, The Dan Tien have held weekly workshops where young people aged between 11 and 19 have had the opportunity to write and record their own music, storyboard and film a music video for their track. They have also choreographed their own street dance routines and made clothes from recycled materials to be displayed on the catwalk.

As well as strutting their stuff on the catwalk, the young people put their creations on display at the Harlequin throughout the day.

The Trust and The Dan Tien have also been running art workshops for teenagers in the Boundary Way area. In the Take Ap-ART sessions young people have created art and household objects from old junk and recycled materials, taking old unwanted items and turning them into their own inspiring creations.

Coming to the end of the holiday season and the schools, colleges and universities shortly starting up again, I have decided to find time in my very busy schedule to attend some tuition in musical creativity. I probably need to attend a musical academy. Practice makes perfect as they say and I am going to spend some time practicing for my audition to ensure that I get a place as the competition can be fierce. Being that I am so talented at nearly everything I try my hand at, I think I would be absolutely amazing at composing my own music and I am positive I will get accepted. I would refute anyone saying that Trusty was ‘big headed’!!

I can even visualise my own video and would choreograph the dance routines myself, of course I would need some additional dancers and the Dan Tien immediately comes to mind. They could also design my costumes as they showed the most incredible talent with their own creations. Participants collected crisp packets and bottle tops and turned them into funky dresses. One participant worked closely with the design of the Harlequin shopping bags and designed a women’s collection based on their design. There are endless possibilities to inspire - with imagination you can really go to town and with recycled materials, so cost-effective!

I know my own album will sell thousands and thousands of copies and reach a “Platinum Disc”. I could be as big as the entire careers of artists such as Johnny Mathis, Frank Sinatra, The Beach Boys, Barbara Streisand, The Beatles and the Backstreet Boys to name but a few. My name could be in lights and I would probably have to put on extra concerts at the 02 as I wouldn’t want to disappoint all my fans who would follow me around the country to see me in concert. Before you know it my fame will have reached across the pond and I could get my hand prints created at the Hollywood Walk of Fame then I would be immortalized forever.
