For Lent I vow...

Today I was told that Lent starts tomorrow. I was surprised, to say the least, we are still finding bits of Christmas tree under cushions.

I racked my brains all day for an ingenious idea to give up for Lent. I even called on Twitterville for their expert advice. Give up listening to terrible covers of Journey songs was amongst the suggestions. I think he was referring to my eternal love for Glee's version of 'Don't Stop Believin''.

Giving that up is not an option. The sun would not rise without the voices of Glee's cast and the wailing of my own song-bird-like voice blasting out of my bedroom every morning.

I was also told to give up Glee. Leave Glee alone. Or I'll sit outside your house at 3am with my ipod speakers and JOE MCELDERRY'S version of 'Don't Stop Believin''. That'll teach you.

But now I have come to the decision that I will not be giving anything up this Lent. Instead I will add a new element to my day. Now you may be thinking, how on earth will she manage to fit anything else into her hectic schedule, and, lets face it, tough life, filled with muesli, driving her new fiesta, miming 'All By Myself' Bridget-Jones-style and perhaps an occasional tweet here and there?

Well don't worry. I'll manage it, I am QUITE the multi-tasker.

For Lent, I will be watching the news (BBC I suppose. I am middle-class didn't you know) every night (something that I have no memory of doing ever in my life) and at Easter I will reflect (and blog obv.) on the new person that I am. I am sure I will be full of insightful comments and purely FACT-BASED jokes. I will be worldly, and my grandpa will be ever so proud of me.
