I do not know what I am getting myself into

I am turning 18 tomorrow. The big one eight. I can practically feel myself becoming more womanly with every second that passes. I have the undeniable urge to tell those around me to ‘have a bit more broccoli’, develop a strong infatuation for Michael Buble, and join weight-watchers.

As I have stated in a previous blog I have been struggling to come up with material that would exceed the already unfathomably high level of writing I have already delivered. This has become a constant worry and stress for me. And when I say ‘constant’ I mean a couple of times a week I will think to myself ‘I really should blog sometime soon’, discard the thought and settle down in front of Britain’s Got Talent with a packet of Hob Nobs.

Anyhow, my friend came up with the idea of a series blog. This would involve a theme running through my writing each week. We decided it may be an interesting (albeit embarrassing) experiment to set me a challenge every week from the day I turn 18 to the day I turn 19. We have come up with 52 challenges in total. And if my above-average maths skills do not deceive me, I think that makes one challenge a week. I can already feel the anticipation within you increasing with every word I utter.

The challenges could be week long, or they could last a mere few seconds (depending on how long it takes me to rifle up the balls for some of the more humiliating tasks). I will document the struggles and hilarities that ensue, and then I will compact them down into a (barely) legible mass of words I like to call a blog post. You will then chuckle, raise your eyebrows, and think me your new favourite person.

This is the dream anyway.

I am not going to post a list of all the challenges I will be facing. As this could take the anticipation away, and for those who know me, prepare them for what I have in store for them.

Beware. I will do almost anything for my art.
