I am so very sorry to learn of the passing of Gavin. I worked with him when I started as a Learning Support Assistant at Francis Combe looking after a group of Year 7 students and then later when he taught in Millstream. He was so much fun and played plenty of tricks on me! A truly special teacher who clicked with his students and had a brilliant rapport with them. I am truly sorry that I missed his funeral and my thoughts & prayers are with his family. Rest in Peace Gavin xx Carolyn

This is a heartfelt message from Western Australia to Gavin's family today. I knew Gavin first when I was the Head of English at Francis Coombe School. He was a great spirit and a man of honour . He was loyal and dedicated and it was with great sadness that I heard of his illness. I hope this message reaches in time to be part of your tribute and memorial to a great man . He touched our lives in so many ways for the better even as far as Australia we remember him today. I will remember him with great affection . The world has lost someone very special. All my love Ruth Proslmeyr
