THE BOROUGH OF WATFORD (WATFORD) (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2018 (AMENDMENT) (NO.3)ORDER 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN thatthe Watford Borough Council, acting as agents for the Hertfordshire County Council, has made the above mentioned Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 45, 46, 46A, 47, 49,51 and 53 and Part IV of Schedule 9ofthe Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order would be to amend the existing Traffic Regulation Orders so that:

I) allowance Is made for parking permits to be Issued In avirtual form,

ii) the shared use parking bays in Sotheron Road



(a) west side; between 17 and 41 metres south of St Johns Road and



(b) east side; between 32 and 37 metres south of the midpoint of the bend between Queens Road and Sotheron Road



are converted to residents permit parking only,

iii) The existing traffic regulation orders governing the taxi rank and loading bay on the north west side of King Street are consolidated into the current Controlled Parking Zone Order,



In Central and West Watford:-

iv) The occupiers of residential and non-residential premises situated at the following sites of new development will be ineligible to receive residents', business and other street parking permits issued under the Watford Controlled Parking Zones Scheme:-



Zone A - Clarendon House 33 Bridle Path (41 flats), Hannay House 37-39 Clarendon Road (154 flats), 16-18 St Albans Road &former Kingham Hall car park (90 flats in two buildings);

Zone B -1Prince Street (change of use to dwelling), 146 Queens Road (conversion to residential apartments); Zone D -21Langley Road (change of use of part to 2 bed dwellings, including 1st floor extension), Caledonian House 39-55 St Albans Road (93 flats); Zone E -19King Street (change of use of ground floor to 2flats);

Zone H -3George Street (change of use to residential), 72-74 High Street and 1-7 Market Street (conversion of 2nd floor to 15 flats), 116A High Street (extension and conversion to provide 4residential units), 140 High Street (extension and conversion to provide 4flats), Rigby House 30 to 34 The Parade (change of use of upper floors from offices to residential), 135 The Parade (change of use of 1st, 2nd &3rd floors to provide 7flats); Zone T -477-479 Whippendell Road (81 apartments in 3buildings).

v) at the following sites of conversions or new development the issue of permits per household will be specially limited:-



Zone H -10Market Street (2 first floor flats). The measures iv and vare in accord with the Council's policies to reduce the impact of new development on existing residents' on-street parking facilities Acopy of the Order which comes into operation on Monday 24th June 2019, together with the statement of reasons for making the Order and plans showing the lengths of road to which the Order relates, may be inspected from 8.45am to 5.15pm on Monday to Thursday and 8.45 am to 4.45 pm on Friday at theCustomer Service Centre, Town Hall, Watford. Anyperson wishing to question the validity of the Order, or of anyprovision contained in it on the grounds thatitisnot within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds thatany requirement of the Act or anylnstrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6weeks from the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose.
