REGULATION 19 PUBLICATION OF LOCAL PLAN FINAL DRAFT WATFORD LOCAL PLAN 2018 - 2036 CONSULTATION
Watford Borough Council is inviting comments on its Final Draft Local Plan which it intends to submit to the Secretary of State for Examination. The Draft Plan covers the area within Watford Borough.
it sets out the growth strategy and includes detailed planning policies and site allocations for new development that will inform planning decisions to positively manage new growth to 2036. This will replace the Watford's Local Plan Part 1 - Core Strategy 2006-31 (2013). Representations are invited on the legal compliance and 'soundness' of the document over the six week period from 12:00pm Monday 18 January 2021 to 11:59pm Monday 1 March 2021. Late submissions will not be accepted. All comments received will be made publicly available on the Council's website, however personal details will be protected to comply with the Council's GDPR policy. Following the consultation period, the Council will submit the Proposed Submission documents, responses and accompanying documents to the Secretary of State for Examination by an independent Planning Inspector who will consider the legal compliance, or 'soundness' of the Plan. Due to C0V1D-19 there will be no public exhibitions. Should the Covid-19 regulations change during the consultation period, copies of the Final Draft Local Plan will be made available at Watford Town Hall, Watford Central Library and North Watford Library. Updates about availability will be made available on the Council's website and to those on our circulation list.
