The Harrow Times celebrated its 20th anniversary as former members of staff gathered to reminisce about its achievements over the years.

Reporters, editors and photographers met at The Claddagh Ring in Hendon to talk about how far the paper has come since the idea was first conceived in 1997.

Over the years, the Times has reached almost 50,000 in the borough and continues to provide its residents with up-to-date news and information.

A teenager was arrested on suspicion of threatening to kill a police officer after they were called to an illegal rave taking place inside a disused school in Stanmore on May 6.

The all-night unlicensed party attracted hundreds of revellers though police chose not to enter the venue to avoid “serious disorder and disruption” to the surrounding area. The event eventually drew to a close at around 5.45am the next day.

And members of the Stanmore and Edgware Rotary Club entered the Guinness Book of Records by planting the most Allium bulbs simultaneously in Canons Park.
