People can expect disruption to their journeys with icy conditions forecast for London tomorrow morning.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice across the capital from midnight until around 10am on Wednesday morning.

During that time, forecasters have said that icy stretches are likely to bring with it travel disruption.

The Met Office says that people can expect icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.

People have also been warned by the weather service to watch out for injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.

The weather service wrote on its website: "A mix of rain and hail showers, with some snow over higher ground, is likely to leave surfaces wet overnight. Surface temperatures are then expected to fall below freezing with icy stretches forming in places."

Those who are travelling tomorrow should allow extra time to complete their journeys.

Despite the slippery conditions set to hit the county, snow is not expected in London.

But further up north the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow as well as ice, with longer journey times expected on some roads and railways.

This is set to start at 8pm today and continue until 10am tomorrow.

According to Channel 4 weather presenter Liam Dutton snow may hit southern parts of England and Wales early on Thursday.
