A SINGING group are celebrating the success of their last concert - and looking forward to their next performance.
Elstree Mozart Players, led by Lucy Cumming and conducted by Derek Holland, performed their English Light Classics Concert in All Saints Church in Borehamwood on Sunday, October 6.
The 38-piece orchestra’s concert included such favourites as The Knightsbridge March, Elizabethan Serenade, In a Monastery Garden, Westminster Waltz, and many more
The concert was organised in conjunction with Rev. Tim Warr, Vicar of All Saints Church, and raised funds for The Children’s Society.
The orchestra’s next concert is on Saturday, November 9, at Allum Hall and Manor, Borehamwood, and is being organised in association with the Studio’s Rotary Club in Elstree & Borehamwood.
The concert stars Janice Watson, the international opera singer, and features who is appearing in the orchestra’s Classical Extravaganza for a second year.
The world class orchestra will be enhanced by members of Borehamwood Brass.
The concert will feature such works by Rossini, Elgar, Verdi, Delius, plus works by Bizet and Delibes.
