Watford’s Grammy-award winning producer is opening up a pop-up restaurant.

Watford DJ and songwriter Naughty Boy has been venturing the culinary world over the past few years.

Now the DJ is opening up a pop-up at the Boxpark in Croydon, London, which will serve his signature dishes celebrating both his British upbringing and Pakistani heritage.

Naughty Boy Kitchen will open up this Friday (October 8) and will reside at the popular venue for two weeks.

A percentage of profit will be donated to Dementia UK, a charity that he is an ambassador for.

Naughty Boy, who is also known as Shahid Khan, said: ‘’I’m so excited to be bringing my dishes to Boxpark Croydon.

“The energy of the venue is a perfect place for Naughty Boy Kitchen to start its journey.

“Cooking is another way for me to channel my creativity and I love that more people will be able to try my dishes next month. Dementia UK have been a huge support for my mum over the years and I’m really excited that through my dishes I will be able to contribute to helping others.”

In 2020 he launched Naughty Boy Kitchen, an online food destination that showcases his reimagining of traditional British food.

However this was not the first time he explored the culinary world, as he also teamed up with fastfood brand Shake Shack in 2018 to create ‘The Naughty One’ burger, and he also featured on the Lorraine Show in 2019 with his Keema Shepherds Pie.

Originally from Watford, born in a council estate and raised in a Pakistani household, home is where his passion for a hearty meal full of flavour began.
