It's a little over six years since the plastic sheeting was erected and work began on transforming the centre of Watford by redeveloping Charter Place.
Intu had revealed plans for Charter Place in 2013 after the shopping centre giants had taken over on a long lease.
The company said the centre would be joined under the single banner of intu Watford.
Shops and Watford Market were moved out of Charter Place in 2014 to make way for the 1.4 million sq ft shopping and leisure centre.
The work on the redevelopment began in November the following year and the pictures on this page, taken between February 2016 and July 2017, show the extension to what is now Atria Watford taking shape.
Cineworld, Hollywood Bowl, restaurants and shops including Debenhams were all new to Watford town centre as part of the expansion, which was officially completed in 2018.
