Calling all Watford brainboxes – could you be the next Glass Bowl winner on BBC quiz show Mastermind?
Locals are being urged to sign up for the show’s 20th series – including people who usually wouldn’t usually apply for quiz shows – ahead of the May 9 deadline.
A spokesperson for the show said: “You do need some general knowledge, but we’re really interested in your three specialist subjects - the wider the range the better!
“As well as regular quizzers, we also want to encourage people who might not usually apply for quiz shows to get involved.”
Applicants may be contacted for a Zoom audition to talk about their specialist subject and take a short general knowledge test.
Successful candidates will compete in the famous black chair and be quizzed by host Clive Myrie.
Previous specialist topics have ranged from the history of chemistry to famous sitcoms like Fawlty Towers and Father Ted.
