If you haven’t tried the food at Tony and Maria’s Italian restaurant, then I would highly recommend that you do.

In all honesty, I don’t have anything bad to say about it.

Why? Because of its friendly service, cleanliness, good food and large portions that will stop you from snacking between meals.

In fact, when I finished my meal and commented on the amount of food, a member of staff told me: “We are Italian, we feed. No-one leaves hungry.”

The restaurant is tucked round the side of Park House, Greenhill Crescent, WD18 8PH.

Blink and you’d miss it.

You walk past some outside tables and chairs that are undercover and with some nice plants dotted around you soon forget you are in the middle of Watford Business Park.

I visited on Tuesday, June 28 at around 3pm, so slightly after the lunchtime rush.

As I approached the counter, I looked up to see the menu.

The woman, who I think is Maria, asked me if she could help.

I said: “I don’t know what to pick”.

“Just point and you’ll find something,” she said.

I chuckled to myself. I went with the intention of ordering Italian food. After all, it is an Italian restaurant.

But another table had a burger and chips, and I couldn’t resist but order the same thing.

This meal and a can of Coca-Cola came to £7.50.

When the food arrived, I really was shocked at how large the portion was, especially for £7.50.

It hadn’t been pre-prepared and thrown into a microwave either, as I could see it being made, possibly by Tony, when I was sat down.

I tucked in and loved everything about it.

The salad was fresh, and the burger bun was sweet. The chips had the perfect amount of crisp to them.

My only problem was food-envy.

Yes, I looked at some people sat nearby who had pizza and pasta.

I guess I will have to go back and try more from the menu.
