One of the biggest food and music festivals of the year is coming to St Albans with McFly, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Beverley Knight performing.  

Pub in the Park will be heading to Verulamium Park from September 9-11, with a whole host of superstar chef talent set to whet your appetite.

In addition to performing on the Friday, Sophie Ellis-Bexter will be appearing on the Miele Chef Demo Stage alongside her husband Richard Jones.

They will be cooking up some of their most loved recipes from their new cookbook Love. Food. Family: Recipes from the Kitchen Disco.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Richard Jones said: “We’re really looking forward to cooking together again on the Chef Demo Stage at Pub in the Park.

“We had such a great time making some of our favourite meals for the family at Tunbridge Wells, and we can’t wait to get on stage again to share more of our ‘go to’ recipes this September at St Albans.”

The three-day festival will be co-hosted by presenter of Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, Simon Rimmer (Friday), chef of feel-good grub Si King from The Hairy Bikers (Saturday) and the Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge (Sunday).

Other chefs showcasing their skills include, The Great British Bake Off 2016 Winner Candice Brown, The Tanner Brothers and Josh Moroney.

McFly will also be performing on the Friday as well as Gok Wan.

Saturday afternoon will see Spice Girl Melanie C take to the stage and the band Dodgy.

The evening’s performers will be Kaiser Chiefs and General Levy.

And Sunday festival goers will be treated to performances from Beverley Knight, Aswad and Huey Morgan - DJ Set.

Bringing the heat from its debut at the sell-out Marlow and Chiswick shows last summer, The Firepit will be open for sizzling cooking sessions.

Hosted by food writer and cook Melissa Thompson, The Firepit will see even more stellar chefs added to the line-up such as, chef Thom Bateman, incredible Ukrainian chef, food writer and food stylist Olia Hercules, plus more chefs cooking live on open flame.
