Filming for an upcoming movie is set to take place in a high street coffee shop.

A flick titled Spiral will have interior scenes shot in Kings Langley's Fred and Ginger Coffee from 8am to 1pm tomorrow (March 22).

Details of the movie are still shrouded in mystery, with SP Film Productions declining to reveal whether it is linked to the Spiral film released in 2021, featuring Chris Rock and Samuel L Jackson.

It is also currently unclear who will be starring in it or when it will be released. The production company has been contacted for more details.

Update: Village 'buzz' as shop transformed into movie set

Residents were told about the filming via letter, with SP Film Productions saying it will be donating to the community food bank at All Saints Church as a 'thank you'.

Lights and filming equipment will be outside the shop, but pedestrian access will be maintained throughout.

Any larger vehicles will be parked away from High Street at the old Steiner School, at the top of Langley Hill, and smaller vehicles will be used to drop equipment off in the parking bays.

Parking bays to the south of the shop have been temporarily suspended by the council so they will be available to the filming company in the morning.

The production team has said noise will be kept to a minimum but if there are any problems, they can be reported via filming@dacorum.gov.uk.
