A 50-year-old motorcyclist has died after sustaining serious head injuries during a crash on the M25 near Mill End.
The man, from Shortstown in Bedfordshire, was involved in a crash between junctions 16 and 17 at 1.25pm on Wednesday, January 9.
The incident involved a white Vauxhall Insignia, a white E Class Mercedes and a Yamaha motorcycle.
The motorcyclist died on Wednesday in St Mary’s hospital in Paddington, after receiving serious head injuries.
Hertfordshire Constabulary believe the driver of the white Mercedes, who drove off after the crash, could greatly assist the inquiry.
The car has been described as an E63 AMG or E63 AMG Sport.
PC Terry Nesbitt, from the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit said: "We have been trying to trace the driver of the Mercedes and I would like to repeat my appeal for him or her to contact police as soon as possible to we can ascertain what happened."
