Three Rivers museum is to host a special open afternoon this Saturday.

The event will give visitors a chance to browse the museum’s unusual collection of photographs and artefacts, including Roman coins found at Heronsgate and a mammoth’s tusk found at West Hyde.

Visitors can also view video documentaries from around Three Rivers and enjoy a PowerPoint presentation on the area’s barns by Steve Farrell, senior planning officer at Three Rivers District Council.

Works by local artist Ross Ashmore will also be on display. Ross is currently attempting to paint all 267 London Underground stations.

The museum will open to the public at 2pm.
