Pop star Pixie Lott performed at a glitzy fundraiser that raised a record-breaking amount for a Holocaust survivors’ charity.

The 23-year-old ‘Starry-Eyed’ singer ended the evening with a solo performance at the Jewish Care Patron’s Dinner, in central London, which raised £145,000 for the charity’s Holocaust Survivors’ Centre.

The Hendon-based centre supports 600 Holocaust survivors living in London and was described on the night by Polish born Renee Salt as “a second home”.

She said: ““Those of us who live in London are fortunate to have access to the Holocaust Survivors’ Centre, which brings together survivors like myself and is regarded by many as a second home.

“It is our support system – it allows us to interact with one another and this helps us to talk openly about our experiences.

“The centre offers warmth, familiarity and comfort to help us contend with the traumatic legacy of the Holocaust.  As we grow older, the services offered by the HSC are invaluable to us.”
