Staff from a Watford housing association are celebrating after claiming a trophy for raising sponsorship for Harefield Hospital.
Trusty Troops, from Watford Community Housing Trust, raised £1,895 when they took part in the Harefield Fun Run in 2013 - the highest amount of any team taking part in last year’s event.
The team collected their trophy from former world champion boxer John Conteh when they returned to take part in the 2014 run on Sunday.
Joel Fisher, who works in the trust’s property department, won the 5k race with a time of 19 minutes and 10 seconds.
Ruth Dent, stock and programming manager, organised the team’s participation in the event.
She said: "Taking part in the fun run was a great way to raise money for an important cause and get fit at the same time.
"It’s great to see our name on the trophy but we don’t want to stop there - we want to win it again.
"The Harefield Heart and Lung Appeal really can change lives, so I would urge everyone to donate what they can."
