Police are appealing for information following an incident of wounding with intent to commit grievous bodily harm (GBH) in High Wycombe today.

Thames Valley Police said that at about 12.49pm a red Saab car was involved in a collision with a pedestrian in Cedar Terrace.

The 22-year-old victim was taken to Wexham Park Hospital in Slough with minor injuries to his leg.

Cedar Terrace, between the junctions with Desborough Road and West Richardson Street, was closed while officers investigated the circumstances. The road has since re-opened.

A red Saab car was recovered in Orchard Road this afternoon.

A 25-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, both from High Wycombe, have been arrested in connection with the incident and are in custody.

Detective Constable Carl Wilson, from High Wycombe Force CID, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw what happened or saw the vehicle travelling prior to the incident to contact police.

“We are conducting enquiries to establish the circumstances and this incident is being investigated by officers as one of wounding with intent to commit grievous bodily harm.”
