Two people involved in a fatal car crash in Beaconsfield last night are in a “serious but stable condition”.

Investigations into the crash, which led to the deaths of two men, are still ongoing.

At about 10.30pm, a silver Ford C-Max MPV and a silver BMW coupe 328i crashed in A355 Whippas Hill.

The driver and the passenger of the BMW, both 21-year-old men, died at the scene.

A man and a woman, both in their sixties, who were travelling in the Ford, were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital by ambulance, both with serious injuries.

Police said the pair remain in hospital in a “serious but stable condition”.

Sergeant Beth Walton, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who may have seen the vehicles travelling prior to the collision to speak to the police.”

The A355 was closed in both directions between Magpie Lane and Longbottom Lane for several hours while officers investigated the circumstances.
