Enterprising students from Immanuel College in Bushey have come out on top in a business competition for young people.

The Young Enterprise Watford Area Finals took place at KPMG Watford on Wednesday 25th March where a team from Immanuel were awarded the top prize.

The teenagers won Company of the Year and Most Environmentally Aware for their business uGrow.

Teenagers from schools across Watford have been working on year-long projects setting up and running their own businesses which provide a product or service.

The Area Final required them to display their work on a trade stand, submit a 10-page business report and give a five minute presentation.

Team uGrow will now compete in the Hertfordshire county final and, if successful, could progress to the national final held at the BFI in London in July.

Managing directors Eitan Hakimi-Sefat and Nathan Conn from uGrow, said: "We are delighted and honoured to win the Watford Company of the Year award and to get through to the County Finals.

"All the hard work and dedication from all company members has paid off so far and we are looking forward to seeing the judges in the next round."

Young Enterprise is an educational charity which teaches young people about business through practical competitions.

The winners were selected by business leaders from companies including GE Capital, Vocalink and Voss International.
