A high-flying drama group which will perform for the first time at Watford Palace Theatre in January next year is looking for worthy causes in this area to benefit from the production.

The British Airways Cabin Crew Entertainment Society (BACCES) has been producing an annual pantomime to raise money for charity every year since 1971.

In the past decade alone the group has donated in excess of £150,000 to a wide variety of local, national and international charities and worthy causes.

BACCES has also been giving two free performances to charities, care homes, schools, and other worthy causes every year since 1992.

Until now, BACCES has been performing at The Beck Theatre in Hayes but the need for a more modern theatre has forced the group to relocate to The Watford Palace Theatre.

The next production will be "Sleeping Beauty" from January 13 to 17 2016.

BACCES’ Nick Young said: "As a society, we elect a number of charities to benefit from our annual show.

"We are in the process of accepting proposals for our 2016 show now and as we will make our Watford début in January, we thought it might be a fitting idea to donate a large proportion of the proceeds from "Sleeping Beauty" to a charity local to Watford and to ask readers to put forward a charity they would like to see benefit.

"In more recent years, we have been donating in the region of £12,000-£15,000 per annum.

"Some years, the sum is divided among a number of charities, while in other years, the entire sum will be donated to a single cause."
