Starting at Swansea FC, and finishing at Watford FC’s Vicarage Road Stadium, three friends will be taking part in a 24 hour challenge in memory of Hornets fan, Guy Judge.

Rob Dowler, Ian Horncastle and Guy’s nephew Ashley, plan to visit all 20 of the current Premier League grounds in a single day.

Not only will they be honouring Guy, who passed away in March but they will be raising funds for KitAid, a charity that sends unwanted football kit to underprivileged children and adults worldwide.

Ashley Judge explained: "My Uncle Guy and my dad inspired me to follow the Hornets. I’m a season ticket holder and we used to meet up at the games."

Guy, who was born in Watford, was a lifelong fan who watched the Hornets play more than 1,000 times after being hooked when he watched his first game in 1958.

Despite moving to Portsmouth after studying at university he travelled from the south coast regularly for more than 40 years, rarely missing a match.

Ashley added: "Guy was an inspiration to his family and friends. "He would have been so happy with Watford’s promotion.

"It really was a sad moment that he wasn’t at the last game of this season. He would have celebrated at Pizza Express in town with his wife Pauline, best mate Chris and his wife before returning to Portsmouth.

"Guy wanted KitAid to be supported in his memory. We have pledged to have our legs waxed as punishment if we fail our challenge.’ Watford fans are being urged to welcome the trio back to Vicarage Road around 7.30pm on Sunday, May 24.
