A Businessman from Watford held court with David Cameron and other senior ministers in Downing Street on Tuesday – but any nerves he had were suppressed long enough for him to snap a selfie with the Prime Minister.

Chris Young from Abbots Langley, who set up FlexiRec recruitment company at Wenta Business Park in Colne Way, Watford, two years ago, was invited to No 10 to meet the PM at the launch of StartUp Britain’s #StartUpTour.

The tour aims to “engage and inspire” 15,000 aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs throughout the country.

FlexiRec was launched with a start-up loan from the Government and help from the enterprise agency Wenta and Nwes, an official delivery partner for start up loans.

The 31-year-old, who plays for Fullerians Rugby Club, said: “I had the chance to talk with the Prime Minister about FlexiRec’s humble beginnings and development, until now when we are operating a three division recruitment business, finding scores of work-seekers employment every year.

“FlexiRec is trading better now than it ever has.

“I also met Sajid Javid, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, and Anna Soubry, Minister for Small Business, Industry and Enterprise to discuss the future of enterprise in the UK.”

He took selfies with the two ministers for the scrapbook too.

Chris, who is married to Rebecca and expecting their first child in four weeks, said it was a marvellous and: “It was a very humbling experience which I will never forget.”
