A man has been charged with wounding with intent after a fight inside The Mount prison in Bovingdon.
Marlon Roban, 37, appeared in St Albans Crown Court yesterday but his case was adjourned by Judge Martin Griffith for a plea and case management hearing on September 11.
A possible trial date has been set for the fortnight beginning November 9.
Roban, who was on a video link from Bedford jail, was remanded in custody.
The assault, which is alleged to have happened on Thursday, April 30, left an inmate at the prison with head and neck injuries.
