A man stole more than £7,000 after using fake passports to withdraw cash from Western Union.
The global money transfer services allows people to transfer money across the world.
But Hertfordshire Constabulary is hunting a man who has visited Sainsbury’s stores in Garston, St Albans and Harpenden and withdrawn £7,074.
Police believe the man used fake passports and fake names to withdraw the money.
Officers said the man entered the store in Harpenden on February 28 and withdrew £603.
On April 3, £917 was withdrawn from a Western Union in Everald Close, St Albans.
A total of £1,300 was taken from Sainsbury’s store by the Dome Roundabout, Watford, on April 5 and on April 9, £1,376 was withdrawn from the Sainsbury’s in Everald Close again.
Another £605 was withdrawn at the store in High Street, Harpenden on April 15 and the final offences happened at the Sainsbury’s in Garston where £585, £587 and £585 were all withdrawn on separate occasions on the same day.
Anyone who recognises the man pictured, or has any other information about these crimes, is asked to contact T/Detective Constable Gareth John via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference F1/16/1700.
