Friday, August 19

Nafees Shafiq, 22, of Douglas Avenue, Watford. On June 17, 2016, had in his possession a quantity of cannabis. Fine, costs: £215.

Monday, August 22

Mark Ely David Chapman, 31, of Chapmans Yard, Watford. On January 9, 2016, damaged lighting belonging to Battle Axes Inn. On same date, used abusive, threatening or insulting words or behaviour thereby causing another person alarm or distress; being the driver of a vehicle owing to the presence of which on a road an accident occurred whereby damage was caused to another vehicle. On July 5, 2016, failed to surrender to custody. Community order made. Carry out unpaid work for 100 hours within the next 12 months. Compensation, costs: £805.

Kieran Walker, 24, of Oundle Avenue, Bushey. On July 6, 2016, used a vehicle when the proportion of a controlled drug in his blood exceeded the specified limit. Two counts. Disqualified from driving for 12 months. Fine, costs: £310.

Sunil Balraj, 71, of Goral Mead, Rickmansworth. Between November 19, 2007, and January 16, 2011, failed to notify the Department for Work and Pensions of a change of circumstances which she knew would affect her entitlement to credit. Three counts. Community order made. Carry out unpaid work for 150 hours within the next 12 months. Costs: £145.

Paul Darren Abrahams, 48, of The Parade, Watford. On June 19, 2016, stole a mobile phone case belonging to Clas Ohlson. Fine, compensation, costs: £214.99.

Trevor Powell, 59, of Bridger Close, Watford. On July 28, 2016, assaulted a person thereby occasioning her actual bodily harm. On same date, had in his possession a quantity of cocaine. Community order made. Restraining order made. Costs: £170.

Tuesday, August 23

Sheryl Barry, 40, of Brocklesbury Close, Watford. On August 22, 2016, without the consent of the owner took a bicycle. Commission of a further offence during the operational period of a suspended sentence order. Fine, costs: £160.

Benjamin Trevor David Jones, 29, of Curtiss Drive, Leavesden. On June 15, 2016, assaulted a police constable in the execution of his duty. Fine, compensation, costs: £235.

Jennifer Sweeney, 43, of Millstream Lodge, Rickmansworth. On July 23, 2016, used threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour. Discharged conditionally for six months. Costs: £105.

James Alan Golding, 37, of Cotswold Avenue, Bushey. On July 8, 2016, damaged a bay window. On same date, destroyed a rear windscreen on a vehicle. On same date, used a vehicle when the proportion of alcohol in breath was 135 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Between December 26, 2015, and December 29, 2016, stole a debit card and a bracelet. Between December 27, 2015, and December 30, 2015, committed fraud by false representation. Disqualified from driving for 32 months. Community order made. Carry out unpaid work for 150 hours within the next 12 months. Restraining order made. Compensation, costs: £210.

Steven Hardwick, 48, of Otley Way, Watford. On May 2, 2016, stole joints of beef belonging to Marks and Spencer. On June 6, 2016, stole alcohol belonging to Sainsbury. On same date, assaulted a person by beating him. Committed to prison suspended for 12 months. Overall length of sentence 12 weeks. Costs: £115.

Stephen Philip Lucking, 44, of Muriel Avenue, Watford. On May 15, 2016, used a vehicle after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in breath was 75 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Disqualified from driving for 15 months. Fine, costs: £530.

Wednesday, August 24

Chanika Gayle-Dore, 24, of Cedar Crescent, Bushey. On September 1, 2015, failed to give information relating to the identification of a driver who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fine, costs: £440. Six penalty points.

Justine Wood, 45, of Scatterdells Lane, Chipperfield. On January 4, 2016, used a vehicle at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 30mph. Fine, costs: £145. Three penalty points.
