Community spirit was high as hundreds of runners took part in the annual Abbots Langley Tough Ten yesterday.
Runners, who congregated at Manor House playing fields, had the choice of a Fun Run, 3k, 5k and 10k races.
Ex-Watford Football Club and England manager Graham Taylor opened the races and mingled with families and competitors.
Alison Warner, from Abbots Langley and a member of the Tough Ten committee, said: "It was a great success and a lovely day. Graham Taylor was there, he was brilliant.
"He was happy to have photos taken with everyone."
Results from the day will be revealed in this week’s Obsever.
