With the most colourful season of the year upon us, now is the best time to put your walking boots on and get outside. 

Whether you are an enthusiastic hiker, or a steady paced walker that enjoys taking in the views, the Langleys have some of the most scenic views around.

Hertfordshire Health Walks are run by Three Rivers District Council. The tracks cover Abbots Langley and most walks last for an hour or more. Shorter and slower-paced walks are available as well as regular weekend strolls. http://www.threerivers.gov.uk/egcl-page/health-walks

The Ramblers Association provide information for walkers, hikers and families that are looking to explore. Walks are advertised via their website, with times and dates for walkers to meet up. http://www.ramblers.org.uk

Nordic Walking Group offers an alternative to typical walking. As it is walking with poles, exercise becomes twice as effective. You can learn to Nordic walk though Chipperfield and Abbots Langley. http://www.fit-vibes.co.uk/Pages/NordicWalking.aspx  

West Herts Walking Group meet every Sunday with walks ranging from three to 15 miles. The Chipperfield and Kings Langley walks often end with a social event, such as a pub meal or quiz. The group also go away for two long weekends every year. http://www.westhertsramblers.org.uk/
