A photographer from Watford captured a stunning shot of the Northern Lights in the sky above Iceland.
News anchor Eric Johnson, of Harwoods Road, snapped the rare Aurora Borealis illuminations at the Barnafoss waterfalls in Borgarfjörður, western Iceland, on Tuesday morning.
This was Mr Johnson’s second attempt at capturing star trails on his camera, focusing on the Northern Star – Polaris – and compressing several long exposure shots together to give the effect of stars rotating around the Earth.
He said the chance to capture these two stunning sights together was an “unmissable opportunity”.
