Planning for my annual Watford Jobs Fair is well under way and I’m pleased that so many fantastic local companies have signed up to exhibit this year.

The Jobs Fair is on Friday September 1 at the Langley Banqueting Suites, Watford High Street, between 10am and 4pm.

The Watford Jobs Fair is a day-long event linking local companies with vacancies to those looking for a new job. With thanks to sponsors Camelot and intu Watford, the fair is completely free for those looking for a job and exhibiting companies.

We’ve got quite a few companies returning for the sixth annual jobs fair, including Warner Bros, Hilton and John Lewis. But we’ve got some newcomers as well: Europcar, which recently moved its head office to Watford, and ASOS, which is opening a new office in Leavesden. Smith and Nephew its also confirmed to attend after opening its brand new office in Croxley Business Park.

On the day there will be more than 60 local companies and hundreds of jobs on offer. In our skills and advice zone, you can get a professional to take a look at your CV and also complete a mock interview. You could also take part in one of workshops or attend a seminar. Details of these will be available nearer the time.

If you’re interested in coming along, then please visit www.watfordjobsfair.co.uk to find out more. You can get your free ticket for fast-track entry and you’ll also be entered into a raffle, with prizes including a bike. The website will also be updated as new firms confirm their attendance so you can plan who you want to talk to in advance.
