Police officers are appealing for witnesses after a man carrying a large knife approached commuters at a train station in a “threatening manner”.
The incident happened at around 6.43am on Friday, September 22, at Carpenders Park Railway Station.
A short while later at 6.48am on the same day, there was also a fight between two men in Prestwick Road, in South Oxhey, which involved weapons.
The two incidents are being treated as linked.
PC David Patton, who is investigating, said: “I am appealing for any members of the public who were approached by or saw the man with the knife at Carpenders Park Railway Station and also any witnesses who saw the incident on Prestwick Road.
“Please get in touch as you may have information that could assist the investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC David Patton on the Hertfordshire Constabulary non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference C3/17/1275.
