A team of carers have described their excitement at being shortlisted for a national award for the second year in a row.

The carers at Chorleywood Beaumont Nursing Home, in Rickmansworth Road, were recently told they had been nominated for the best care team award at the upcoming Great London Care Awards, and have now progressed to the final stages.

A year after scooping the palliative care home of the year award, the team are hoping to claim another award at this year’s event, taking place at the Hilton Hotel in London on November 10.

Wayne Hughes, general manager at Chorleywood Beaumont, said: “This nomination and shortlisting celebrates our care team who have demonstrated excellence in their work, and my team could not be more dedicated to top-quality care.

“We are thrilled to have been shortlisted again following our success last year, and I am so proud of my wonderful team.”

The Great London Care Awards are part of the prestigious Great British Care Awards, a series of regional events organised by Care Talk magazine.

The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
