Families had a Halloween adventure in a spooky orchard filled with surprises and activities over the weekend.
On October 28 the Arnos Park Community Orchard and Growing Space transformed with every form of grizzly ghoul and spooky decoration added to give revellers the fright of their lives!
All Hallows Eve lovers to made their own scary masks, taste spooktastic varieties of apples and warmed themselves by the bonfire with some pumpkin soup.
There was also be the opportunity to learn more about caring for the orchard and how they can get involved, with information available about the orchard’s partnership with Helping Britain Blossom, who helped source apple, pear, mulberry, quince and damson trees for the community space.
Some delicious varieties of apples were available for tasting, such as the red-fleshed Bloody Ploughman and the Red Devil, those who fancied a real scream headed over to the orchard to listen to terrifying tales from outdoor storyteller Richard Sylvester.
