A 'fairtrade Christmas' launches this weekend to get people buying ethical gifts during the festive season.
Watford received Fairtrade Town status in 2007, and since then the Watford Fairtrade Steering Group has worked to inspire people to shop fairtrade, and this Christmas they hope people will help farmers in developing countries by buying at least one fairtrade gift.
The group's chairman Cllr Rabindranath Martins said: "I am delighted that a full range of fairtrade branded products are available in stores across the town.
"So to join in the spirit of Watford Fairtrade Christmas all you have to do is ask for the fairtrade branded version of whatever it is you are looking to buy."
Watford Fairtrade Christmas takes place from December 2-10 and the best way to get involved is to ask retailers for their range of fairtrade Christmas gifts, which in buying will help finance development programmes across the world.
