X-Factor finalists ‘Rak-Su’ were given a fantastic reception as they paid a visit to their hometown.

The hip-hop band are preparing to battle it out for a top recording contract but showed they are fiercely proud of their roots by returning to Watford.

Myles, Ashley, Jamal and Mustafa signed autographs and posed for pictures with their legions of fans at their old school before making their way to Vicarage Road in the evening.

They were given VIP treatment during Watford FC’s 4-2 defeat to Manchester United, performing at half-time in front of the Hornets’ faithful.

Mentor Simon Cowell even joined the boys as they watched the match, and they presented him with a personalised home shirt.

The band were singled out as potential winners of the competition following their audition, where they were praised by viewers for their original music.

They have already experienced success, with a number of their tracks reaching number one in the iTunes chart.

And while their performance at The Vic was just a bonus for those with tickets, they have vowed to return to put on a show for everyone once the X-Factor is done and dusted.

They tweeted: “We’re heading back to Watford but the performance is going to be at the footy, not an open one… its always been one of our goals to put on a massive event in Watford though so after the show watch this space… we’re gunna party together!”

The grand finale takes place on December 2 and 3, with Rak-Su aiming to overcome four other challengers and take home the Series 14 title.
