Pupils raised £250 by hosting a bake sale to help support people with mental health issues.
Harley Petrie and Sienna Crawley, who are Year 5 pupils at Abbots Langley Primary School, in Parsonage Close, Abbots Langley, raised money for Mind – a charity which works for “better mental health”.
The school community came together to bake hundreds of cakes after the two students came up with the idea to help one in 10 children in the UK who suffer with mental health issues.
Rebecca Negrello, head teacher at the primary school, said how “proud” she was of Harley and Sienna for wanting to raise money for the cause.
She said: “They have been coming daily to discuss how we could make this happen. They are a credit to our school.”
